Big winner

Manga Ormolu Ver 5.0-K was the big winner of the People's Choice Award at the Gardiner Museum. Personally,  I don't care for it at all. But I suppose the bright colors are nice!

I'll go so far as to say that it's better than the last piece you showd us, but still not something I'd display in my home.

Euh... C'est censé être quoi ? Un dévoiement de faïence ou de porcelaine bleue ?

to each his own, I guess. I would agree that it is not to my taste, either. as were not the other two you showed.

Interesting piece. I do like the green glaze.

A weird and wonderful collection of pieces here and in previous posts Halcyon, methinks it would have been hard to choose a winner.

Oh, I do like this. It's just crazy enough and reminds me of a snail. Hail the snail!

After reading about it, and the artists life, I understand the piece. There were others that were just as intriguing. As someone who is around art all day, I have often felt that judged panels are about the judges being thrown out of their stupor of looking at pieces all day long, and the odd sometimes is the winner just for that reason.

I can see the evolution from the traditional to the modern or even futuristic, but do I like it? Sorry, fail.

Do these guys know the difference between fashion art and real art? As a toy, it's not bad...

It is very different.

It looks like a Ming vase and a Transformer collided in an unfortunate genetic experiment. It's intriguing, but I can't say I like it either. Still, I appreciate that art is infinite in its variety.

I hate the new word verification. Since I have trouble reading those "words", I am assuming others do too.
